Burleigh Solstice

One of several events that I film and edit for The City of Gold Coast. The annual Burleigh Winter Solstice project is about capturing the atmosphere in kinetic motion.

Homeless Dave

Feature doco 'sizzle reel'. Dave Farrell's business card read “Homeless Dave: Urban Camper & Affluent Bum”. Filmed over ten years in Melbourne and now in post-production.

Walking Basketball

A Melton City Council project, commissioned to get more seniors on the court. My work for Melton Council includes filming annual events, creating campaign videos like this one, and shooting and editing short docos about their community groups.

Global Gratitude

Made for Global Gratitude’s website and presentations, combining footage I shot in Australia and the Philippines with their own archive. I was part of the organisation in its early days (2013–2018), and continue to support it through video production.

About

I grew up in Bendigo, went to film school in Melbourne, then spent five years living in a village in the Philippines, where I honed my storytelling skills. Now with sixteen years experience, I’ve run my own agency, worked for two production companies, and made everything from feature docos to ten-second social clips. Alongside client work, I’m editing two feature docos: one about a homeless writer and street performer in Melbourne, the other about a village in the Philippines that I’ve been filming since 2013. I love an adventure and will follow a story anywhere.

Services

Most of my work involves sitting down with people and helping them tell their story on camera. Whether it’s a short doco, a socials package or an event, I enjoy working out the concept and how the content will best reach the right people. I take projects from idea through to directing, filming and editing, or mix into a team as a shooter or editor. When I’m filming for someone else’s edit, I capture what I’d want to receive myself: steady, well-exposed footage, clean audio and full coverage, with a mix of static and moving shots plus interviews that carry the story.
