I’m Sam, an Australian filmmaker based on the Gold Coast. I work mostly in documentary - long form projects filmed over years, as well as fast turnover projects and short videos for councils, communities, businesses and individuals. I’m interested in capturing stories as they happen, grounded in real people and real environments.
I grew up on a farm just outside of Bendigo, contested birthplace of the Chiko Roll. From there, it was off to Melbourne for studies, followed by five years in the Philippines, where I lived in a fishing village and honed my doco skills. Since then, I've run a boutique creative agency, worked for two other production companies and crewed on some great film projects too.
