G'day! I'm Sam, documentary filmmaker, content creator, freelance videographer and one-man production agency based on the Gold Coast (but working Australia-wide and internationally). My work involves collaborating with people and organisations to grow their online presence through video content, and helping people transform into pixelated versions of themselves—whether by sitting them down for an interview, following them around with a camera or shaping their story into a short video.
Palm Beach is the sweaty paradise I call home, but I grew up on a farm just outside of Bendigo, birthplace of the Chiko Roll. From there, it was off to Melbourne for studies/roaring twenties, followed by five years in the Philippines, where I lived in a fishing village and honed my storytelling skills shooting a documentary. Since picking up a camera, I've run my own creative agency, Good Story, worked for multiple other production companies and created thousands of videos, from feature-length docos to short, snappy 10-second social media stories.
I'm always keen to work closely with individuals and take on projects that excite, inform, explain or simply entertain. I especially relish an invitation to film in the great outdoors—ideally somewhere wild and untamed. These days, you'll find me producing, directing, shooting and editing a variety of commercials and documentaries, often wearing all those hats at once. When I'm not working, you'll find me gallivanting through the wilderness looking for creepy crawleys, flying things and spectacular views whilst getting a red heads tan (sun burn).
